Nobody is good at everything—with the exception of Martha Stewart, of course. There are certain things that you’re either good at or you’re not. Math is one of those things that I am admittedly bad at. Writing, on the other hand, is something I have always loved doing, and I’m pretty good at it too! I’m not sure whether I write well because I love it or whether I love it because I write well (it’s that age-old “chicken or the egg” question). Either way, I have recently decided to add writing to Mann Made Time’s list of service offerings so I can share my talent with others.

If you are a business owner who isn’t gifted in the writing department, I’d like to ask you a few questions. How have you been handling the writing tasks for your business? For example, who is writing your sales copy, website content and promotional literature? Are you attempting to do it yourself? Following the same logic, if you couldn’t write your way out of a cardboard box, you should definitely not try to write your website content—unless you’re planning to partner with a talented writer for a thorough rewrite afterward.
